The Affordable Care Act
The Affordable Care Act (ACA), often referred to as “Obamacare”, was signed into law in 2010. In accordance with the ACA, health insurance plans must now cover the cost of a breast pump. This means that you could be eligible to get a free breast pump via insurance.
Most insurance providers are now following the ACA. However, as you can imagine, not all are complying. These include: self-funded programs, grandfathered policies, etc. Click here to view the covered insurance providers. Mommy Xpress works with nearly all participating providers to help you order and receive an insurance covered breast pump.
